SharpMap v0.9 released

by Morten 20. August 2006 15:09

SharpMap v0.9 is now uploaded to the CodePlex Workspace.

Download it here.

Thanks to everyone who has supported the development of SharpMap. We have come a long way since the previous release candidate.

Unfortunately this also marks the end of my involvement with SharpMap. In a months time I'm moving from Copenhagen to California to start on a new and exciting GIS developer job. Hopefully more on that later...

I'm very sad for SharpMap, but good luck for the new job!

I am also very sad to hear that you are moving on, I have just found SharpMap but am a bit concerned that it will stop progressing without you.  Do you have many other developers contributing to more releases?

There are other developers in the project, but I also fear that there will be a short "transition period". On the other hand parts of the SharpMap library has also made it into other projects like MsSqlSpatial and NetTopologySuite.
